Does marketing4results also create new websites?
Yes – we work with our partner network to create high-performing hotel websites or optimise existing sites. Always SEO-optimised, clearly structured and with a focus on bookings. On request, we maintain websites (provided they were created by us) or train editors who work in or for a hotel.
Does marketing4results also offer Google Ads support?
Yes. We take care of set-up, campaign structure, runtime optimisation and continuous monitoring. In doing so, we ensure a reasonable cost/performance ratio. The advertising costs incurred by Google are charged to the hotel, while marketing4results’ services are charged on a time and material basis. Approximately 1 hour per hotel per month is typical for ongoing campaigns.
How much does the collaboration cost?
The costs depend on the scope and objectives—before the project starts, we will prepare an individual and binding offer: Basically, time is always charged. The hourly rate ranges between €150 and €200, depending on the scope or task. For longer-term support or outsourcing of projects (external revenue management, online marketing, social media campaign management, etc.), we charge by the 5-minute increment. In addition to the monthly invoice, we log the activities performed and provide a results report. If the tasks can be clearly defined, there is also the option of a fixed monthly price.
Does marketing4results work on a long-term or project-based basis?
Both. Many customers have been working with us for years, while others book individual projects such as a revenue management strategy, an SEO analysis, website optimisation or the creation of a contemporary distribution concept.
Are there any references?
Yes – on request. Before we provide references for a comparable project, we ask the company concerned for permission. Our (mostly long-standing) clients include numerous hotels in Germany and Austria, resorts, tourism organisations and event locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Well-known and regular clients include the Austrian Hotel Association (ÖHV) and the German Hotel Academy (DHA).
Why should hotels have their marketing regularly reviewed by professionals?
Because the hotel market is dynamic, highly competitive and technologically complex. What works today may lose its effectiveness in a few months. Regular external marketing reviews ensure that hotels identify opportunities early on, use their budget more efficiently and avoid strategic mistakes.
Professional marketing experts bring:
- an objective outside perspective, free from operational blindness
- up-to-date expertise on the software used, business mix, SEO, Google Ads, social media, tracking & AI
- benchmarking comparisons with competitors and best practices
- data analyses that provide insights into user behaviour and conversion barriers
- Recommendations for measures that directly lead to more bookings and direct bookings
- For hotels, this means better visibility (wherever potential guests are looking for a hotel), less dependence on OTAs, stronger brand positioning and a clear strategy that delivers measurable results. A professional marketing check is therefore not a cost factor – but a revenue lever.
What are the most common marketing mistakes hotels make?
- Lack of distribution strategy
- Lack of monitoring of results
- Underestimating their own website as a sales backbone – Weak SEO, lack of knowledge about conversion development
- Outdated websites and dependence on weak web agencies (who are not interested in the revenue generated)
- No clear target groups, lack of positioning
- Incorrect and overly labour-intensive communication
- nsufficient visibility outside of OTAs
- Unused Google Ads potential
- Weak content strategy
- No structured measurement of results
- Lack of modern, AI-supported software, resulting in labour-intensive processes for order acceptance, guest services, price control, etc.
- Still too much print media and belief in outdated marketing and sales measures
Can marketing4results train internal hotel teams?
- Yes, we offer individual training courses or workshops (in person and online) on:
- Tailored to your marketing and sales goals and segments
- SEO basics
- Social media strategies
- Content creation
- Google Ads
- Conversion optimisation
- Offer design and offer processesDigital hotel marketing
- MICE management
Does marketing4results also support hotels without their own marketing or revenue department?
Yes, especially those. We take on entire areas or support teams as external marketing management or revenue and distribution departments. In doing so, we assist with the creation of budgets and align our activities with these goals.
Which systems (which software) does marketing4results prefer to work with?
As a rule, we always start by working with a hotel’s existing technical infrastructure and optimise it where possible. Many systems are powerful – they just aren’t being used to their full potential. Our approach is therefore to retain, improve and make them more efficient, rather than introducing new ones unnecessarily.
When we are asked to build a new or more modern system landscape, we prefer to use solutions that have proven themselves in practice, are flexibly scalable and provide measurable support to hotels. These include, among others:
Web & content management
WordPress (with clear SEO structures and conversion elements)
Booking & Sales Tools
HotelNetSolutions (IBE, channel manager, vouchers, other online tools)
Modern property management systems such as Mews (cloud PMS) or Apaleo (API-strong, modular cloud PMS)
Revenue Management & Pricing
RateBoard
(other systems such as Atomize, Happyhotel, etc. also available if required)
Guest communication & automation
DialogShift (chatbot & digital guest communication)
HERA, MARA, Straiv or Hotelbird (guest journey tools, pre-/in-/post-stay communication)
CRM tools such as smarthost.
Marketing & Tracking
Google Analytics 4
Meta Business Suite
Newsletter tools such as cleverreach
Important:
We are vendor-neutral and do not choose tools, but goals. The technical solution is always selected to suit the hotel, its size, budget and, where appropriate, existing software and strategic orientation. Our focus is on implementing the best, most economically viable combination of systems – not the most expensive or most modern. We are convinced that more tools that truly use artificial intelligence are needed in all hotels, and we consistently monitor which providers are particularly helpful in this regard.
Is there a team, or does marketing4results.co.uk operate primarily as a one-woman show?
marketing4results.co.uk was founded in 2012 by Gabriele Schulze and has been run as a one-woman show ever since – with one clear advantage: customers benefit from personalised support, short decision-making processes and over 30 years of expertise in hotel marketing, sales and revenue management. At the same time, we do not work in isolation, but are excellently networked. For each project, we have a proven network of software experts, operational hotel experts, controllers, web developers, designers, photographers, tracking specialists and AI professionals at our disposal.
This means that, if desired, you receive a highly qualified, individually assembled team of experts in addition to the expertise of marketing4results. For each project, we select exactly the right specialists to best suit the objectives – flexibly, efficiently and economically.
Why is marketing4results called that?
The name marketing4results describes exactly what we do: marketing that delivers measurable results. Instead of colourful ideas with no impact, we develop strategies that directly contribute to visibility, reach, bookings and economic success.
In short:
We don’t do marketing ‘for the sake of appearances’, but marketing for results. The focus is on measurable results.
